San Francisco has crowned its first drag laureate D’Arcy Drollinger, the owner of one of the city’s most popular LGBTQ+ nightclub, Oasis. Students at a high school in Indiana have raised more than $80,000 to put on a play featuring LGBTQ characters after it was banned by school administrators. A mass shooting at a Colorado gay club has left 5 dead and 25 injured. The tragedy occurred on Saturday night when 22-year old Anderson Lee Aldrich entered the bar, Club Q, in Colorado Springs. The Senate advanced legislation this week that will install federal protections for same-sex marriage and overturn discriminatory laws.
