Olympic diving legend Greg Louganis is auctioning off memorabilia to raise funds for charities in the LGBTQ+ communities. Proceeds from the auction will be given to two non-profits: Children’s Rights and The Damien Center. “The funds we’ll raise from the auction are designed to help people in need and those who are fighting for justice,” said Louganis. A bill has been proposed in the state of Michigan that would criminalize gender-affirming care and those who support and encourage it, categorizing these actions as child abuse.
